Rome, Italy......Let's talk about it...I had to chance to see the world famous coliseum. It's always a great thing when you can physically view something that you read so much about in the history books. I knew it was going to be big, but not that big. It literally looked like it was the size of the Giants stadium and it was built stone by stone. It's still hard to envision how it was created so perfectly just by using thousands of slaves to get the job done.
Another picture I took from the inside of the coliseum. Does anybody watch Spartacus? That series is definitely one of the best I've seen, and was the first thing I thought about when I was inside the coliseum. Even the fact that majority of it is still intact today is amazing to see. That proves the materials they used to construct this facility was enduring. I guess hard work does pay off.
